API KEY USAGE WARNING

MISUSE OF OPENAI API KEYS CAN RESULT IN SEVERE CONSEQUENCES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  1. Immediate termination of your OpenAI account without prior notice
  2. Permanent ban from all OpenAI services and products, including ChatGPT, DALL-E, and all future offerings
  3. Complete forfeiture of any remaining API credits or prepaid subscription fees
  4. Potential legal action for violations of OpenAI's Terms of Service, which may include damages claims
  5. Financial liability for unauthorized use or exceeding usage limits, including usage by others if you've shared your key
  6. Possible reporting to relevant authorities for generation of illegal content or use in illegal activities
  7. Blacklisting from future API access across OpenAI and potentially other AI service providers
  8. Termination of derived services that depend on your API access (client applications, downstream services)
  9. Loss of access to any data or models trained using the API
  10. Reputational damage for associated businesses or personal accounts

OpenAI actively monitors API usage for violations of their policies, including:

  • Generating harmful, abusive, or illegal content
  • Creating misinformation or engaging in political campaigning/lobbying
  • Developing autonomous weapons or illegal surveillance systems
  • Bypassing safety limitations or content filters
  • Sharing your API key with unauthorized third parties
  • Using the API in applications that violate OpenAI's use case policies
  • Scraping, reverse engineering, or attempting to extract model weights

You are solely responsible for all activities conducted with your API key. The author of this software explicitly disclaims all responsibility for how you use your API key and any resulting consequences or penalties.

Additional Warnings

  • This software can potentially be used to generate content that may be considered unethical, illegal, or harmful in certain contexts or jurisdictions.
  • The AI responses are not filtered or censored, which may lead to the generation of inappropriate or offensive content.
